  • What are the standard Hundden sizes and dimensions?
**All sizes are without feet. Inside dimensions on the Double Hunddens and Triple Hunddens are per dog den.** Custom sizes also available - Please contact us
  • What size Hundden should I order for my dog?
Our recommendation is that you measure the kennel that your dog(s) currently live in. If they fit nicely in that size choose a Hundden size that is about the same inside dimensions. If they have out grown their current kennel we suggest ordering one size bigger. For the height measure to the top of your dog's head while sitting and standing. Be sure they have an inch or two of clearance in the kennel. Our general guide for the sizes of our Hunddens are: Small Dog weight: Between 11lb and 25lbs Breeds: Border Terrier, Boston Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Miniature Dachshund, Maltese, Miniature Poodle, Tibetan Spaniel, Yorkshire Terrier, and more Medium Dog Weight: Between 26lbs and 40lbs Breeds: American Pit Bull, Cocker Spaniel, Dachshund, French Bulldog, King Charles Spaniel, Miniature Pinscher, Miniature Schnauzer, Shetland Sheepdog, Welsh Terrier, and more Large Dog Weight: Between 41lbs and 70lbs Breeds: Basset Hound, Belgium Sheepdog, Bull Terrier, Bulldog, Chinese Shar-Pei, English Setter, English Springer Spaniel, Harrier, Schnauzer, Welsh Corgi, and more Extra Large Dog Weight: Between 71lbs and 90lbs Breeds: Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Boxer, Chow-Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Irish Setter, Labrador Retriever, Siberian Husky, Poodle, and more Giant Dog Weight: Between 91lbs and up Breeds: Alaskan Malamute, Bernese Mountain Dog, Bloodhound, Giant Schnauzer, Great Dane, Great Pyrenees, Greyhound, Neapolitan Mastiff, Newfoundland, Old English Sheepdog, Rottweiler, Saint Bernard, and more
  • What materials are used in the construction of my kennel?
Our Hunddens are crafted from a selection of hardwood lumber and steel. Our hardwood lumber is sourced from mills who focus on quality as well as reducing their environmental impact. Just before construction begins, our builders hand select and layout each board to achieve a beautiful piece of furniture with amazing movement throughout the piece. We finish them in your choice of stain and then clear coat them with multiple coats of water-based polyurethane. Standard bars are enamel coated, smooth rolled steel, or smooth stainless steel.
  • Will my dog chew on their new room?
While most dogs absolutely love their Huddens and would never want to damage it, puppies have been known to occasionally nibble and sometimes chew on their kennels. We suggest that your dog be kennel trained before transitioning them to a wooden kennel. Although our Hunddens are made of hardwood, they can still be damaged. If you are concerned about your dog chewing, we offer chew guards that can be added as an additional level of protection for your Hunddens. Our chew guards are an 1 ¼” steel framing around the inside of the windows and openings of the Hunddens. They both protect the inside of the kennel and deter chewing when the puppy decides to try. Occasionally spraying the kennel with bitter apple can help to deter chewing as well.

  • How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is based on the weight of the Hundden that you select, and all Hundden's ship via LTL Freight or are delivered by Hunde Furnishings, depending on availability. The Hundden will come secured to a pallet and will be delivered to the end of your driveway. Occasionally the driver will bring the crate into your garage, but they are not required to do so. These kennels are quite heavy so you will need to have a second person there to help you carry it in your house. White glove delivery can be added for an additional charge. If you select this option your Hundden will be delivered inside of your home, will be uncrated and the shipping materials will be taken away. Time on site is limited to 20 minutes and kennel placement in your home is limited to the first floor. Once your Hundden ships you will receive a tracking number and the carrier will call you to schedule a time for delivery. Due to the large size of the crate, they do not deliver without a time window scheduled. Local pickup is available and an appointment date and time is scheduled once the Hundden is complete.
  • What if I want to cancel my order?
Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund Refund should be requested in writing to returns@hundden.com After 24 hours orders can be canceled with a 15% restocking fee up until construction begins Once materials for your order are purchased, a 35% restocking fee will be applied to cancelled orders As soon as construction begins for your order, a 50% restocking fee will be assessed Our furniture is made-to-order. As such, an item cannot be canceled once it is in transit for delivery Custom orders may not be canceled or returned Returns are not accepted Refunds for cancelled items will be made to the original form of payment within 3 business days Why are there cancelation fees? Your Hundden is being custom built to order, per your specifications. Once an order is placed, it enters our design, purchasing, and manufacturing processes. As a result, and while it is our honor to manufacture your order, we also need to express the cost to cancel. Thank you for your understanding.
